Someone told us that “loopcam” was a new craze, and easy to use… anyone had a go yet? I think it might be iOS only though… http://loopc.am/
I favour iStopMotion on the iPad and it's companion free camera app that goes on the iPhone.

You connect the two via wifI and the iPad captures from the iPhones camera.

Not cheap though - the iPad app is £6.99 but it is good - has a grid and onion skinning to make animating it simpler.

I'm using istop! very easy. Beats trying to wrangle and mass convert and edit photos via conventional camera to video editor way of doing things!
